With it being Valentine’s Day, Viper 10 Sportswear thought we’d take this opportunity to rave about a great organisation that we absolutely love supplying playing kit and leisurewear to, Dart Hockey Club. Dart HC have been loyal Viper 10 customers for a number of years and we’d like to tell you a bit about what makes them such a great sports club.
A community club based in Totnes, South Devon, Dart HC caters to around 150 enthusiastic members that are scattered over a distinctly large catchment area. Dart has an abundance of teams, including 3 Ladies teams, 2 Men’s teams and several Junior teams that include boys and girls sides for Under 10s, 12, 14s and 16s.
The Ladies 1sts started the 2018/19 campaign in spectacular fashion, winning the opening 3 games without conceding a single goal. The strong start was followed up by a flurry of solid results that see the side sat in 2nd place in the Petroc Division 1 league, with an impressive 11-2-2 record. In the same league, Dart 2s sit in a respectable 7th, five spaces off the bottom with a balanced 7-4-7 record.
This weekend will see the fiercest of rivalry games for Dart HC as the Ladies 1st team will go to war with the Ladies 2nd team! We jest, there’s nothing but love and sportsmanship in the air ahead of the clash this weekend, fitting seeing as it’s Valentine’s Day.
Not to be outdone by their female counter parts, Dart’s Men’s 1sts have had a strong season so far and are comfortably sat in 4th place in the Southern 1 division with a hard-fought 6-5-4 record. The side will undoubtedly be looking to finish higher than last year’s 4th place so a positive second half of the season will be vital.
